OBSERVATION MOUNTAIN BACKPACKING TRIP

We recommand you to spend 3 to 6 days on this route. The hike starts at Ä’äy Chù (Slim River) and goes towards south for 22.5km on a well kept path, along the west shore of Ä’äy Chù until the Canada creek.

The path ends up at the creek, where there is also a wild camground. Still, most of the hikers continue to follow the track and go through a path to reach a plateau which leads to the summit of the Observation mountain. This itinerary is often followed by hikers and leads to spectacular views on the Kaskawulsh glacier. Still, even if this path shows no difficulties, it can be considered as long and difficult, besides, it also requires some orientation abilities Therefore, this hike is considered difficult.

You will find a wild campground after 22.5 km. Besides, from Bullion Creek, it is allowed to do wild and ecological camping along the path (except on the creek's dunes)
